Art takes a large role in maintaining inmates’ mental health, social interractibility, and motivation to restart their life outside. Artists and makers within the system are heavily deprived of materials and resources, along with exposure and proper credit for their works. This exhibit shines the spotlight on such deserving creatives and their works, and how the arts are impacting the dynamic between prison cellmates, staff, and their connections and interactions with the outside communities.
